How does My Tutor-To-Go work?

My Tutor-To-Go is an online learning platform that connects students with trained, professional, and friendly tutors. We do the hard work of hiring and training our tutors, so all students can find the expert that fits their needs.

Who can use your service?

We are currently offering virtual, one-on-one classes for USA students only.

How do I get started?

There is a Sign-Up link on the top right corner of our website. Sign-up for free and click on ‘Book a Lesson’ to view our tutors’ availabilities. From there, you can request a lesson time that works for you, and just like that, you have booked your first lesson on-the-go!

Who uses the sign-up link, parents or students?

Ideally, the sign-up link is for the paying client. If you are a parent/guardian, go ahead and fill out the student information on your dashboard after signing up, and we will add those students to your account. We do not collect the personal information of students under the age of 13 years.

Who handles my payment information?

We are completely integrated with Stripe to process our payments. My Tutor-To-Go cannot view any of the client’s payment information.

What are the supported browsers for your website?

We recommend you use the latest version of Chrome, Safari, or Firefox. Our hosting service is not currently compatible with Internet Explorer.

Is this a mobile-compatible website?

Yes, our website, scheduling, and payment software are completely mobile-compatible. Lessonspace virtual whiteboard is compatible with mobile devices and tablets, with some limitations. Find out more here.

What if I am running late for a class?

We understand that life happens. As long as you let your tutor know that you are running late, your tutor will be waiting for you to finish the remaining duration of the scheduled class.

What if I am late for my session and cannot inform my tutor?

Your tutors are obligated to wait 20 minutes for you. You can be considered a no-show after being more than 20 minutes late to the class.

Can I cancel/reschedule a class?

Sure, you can. If you cancel/reschedule 12 hours before your session is supposed to begin, you will not be charged for the session. If you reschedule/cancel within 12 hours of your session time, you will be charged for that lesson and notified before you confirm the cancellation.

What is the minimum lesson duration?

We are booking a minimum of one-hour lessons currently. It helps tutors to completely engage with the students and receive fair compensation for their service.

Can I review notes from a previously attended class?

Yes! All your whiteboards are automatically saved for you to go back and review at any time. And, whenever you begin the next class, you continue with the same whiteboard space.

I was a no-show for my last class, can I schedule another?

You can most definitely schedule another class even if you were a no-show for the last one.

What if my tutor is running late?

Your tutors are obligated to inform you whenever they are running late and cover the full scheduled lesson duration. If you cannot go over the scheduled lesson time, you will only be charged for the time you were tutored.
